About

Since 1949, the Forest Theater has been where South Dallas comes together. From movies and music to unforgettable performances, generations have made memories here. Now, the Forest Theater is stepping into its next chapter, bringing arts, education, technology and creativity under one roof while staying rooted in the people, culture and stories that made it iconic.

Elizabeth Wattley, President & CEO of Forest Forward, brings more than 15 years of experience advancing economic and community development in South Dallas. Her leadership spans Forest Forward, CitySquare and Paul Quinn College. A recognized Dallas leader, she is a Spelman College graduate and holds an MBA from SMU’s Cox School of Business.
